4 month check up

Noah went to the doctor today for his 4 month check up and he is doing great! The doctor said that everything looked great. He weighed 14 pounds 9 ounces which is the 24% for his age and 26.5 inches long with is the 91% for height! He is still long and skinny (which we already knew!)

He was such a good boy for the doctor to. He didn't cry at all as they checked him all out!

He also had to have 2 shots and 1 oral vaccine. He cried a little bit for the shots, but not too bad. He calmed down as soon as I picked him up. He slept for a long time after the doctor, but for the most part was his normal, happy self! Thank goodness, because last time he had his shots he was pitiful and it was heartbreaking!

Pittsburgh

As part of our anniversary celebration, we decided to make a trip to Pittsburgh after the family reunion. We got in to Pittsburgh and headed straight for the Pirates game.

We had a great time cheering on the Bucco's! I guess Noah wasn't too impressed with his first professional baseball game, he fell asleep!

And of course, my favorite part of every Pirates game is the Pierogie Race!!!
After Noah woke up we walked around the stadium a little bit. If you've never been to PNC Park, it is beautiful! Here is Noah with a baseball bat statue...I love the way he's holding the bat!

Outside the stadium, we had to make sure to get a photo of Noah with the Roberto Clemente statue. Roberto Clemente is my dad's favorite baseball player of all time, so I knew he would love it!

After the baseball game, we headed out into the city for some pirogies and pizza! It was delicious! Here are Dan and I across from the stadium. It was a great way to celebrate 5 years of marriage!

On Monday, we woke up and headed to Peters Township where I grew up (about 30 minutes outside the city). We had to hit up all my favorite spots in just a few short hours. First stop was Simmons Farm. We had to stop in for some fresh corn on the cob. I definitely took for granted having a farm right up the street and delicious corn on the cob whenever we wanted. North Carolina corn just doesn't compare! We stopped by the petting zoo first, but the sheep were very loud and a little scary to Noah. He much preferred trying to husk some corn!

After that we headed to my friend Amanda's house (AKA Simmy) to hang out with her for the day. And of course we had to go to Sarris Candy - it's only the greatest candy store on earth!! Here are Noah and I in front of the chocolate castle. We couldn't get Noah to look at the camera because he was so entranced by the merry-go-round! Pretty amazing that this entire thing is made out of candy!

This mural is painted on the ceiling - very colorful and pretty.

Here are the 3 of us - thanks for hanging out with us for the day Simmy!!

It was such a short visit, but I loved every minute! Pittsburgh will always hold a special place in my heart!

Eichelberger Family Reunion

We headed up to Holmes County Ohio this past weekend for a family reunion with Dan's mom's family. It was great to see family that we hadn't seen in a while and introduce them to Noah! They all loved Noah, although I think that Dan's cousin Beth's daughter won the prize for loving Noah the most! She wanted to hold Noah all weekend and just kept telling him that he was "SO CUTE!"

The scenery in Holmes County is beautiful. The area is predominantly Amish with lots of rolling farm land all around.

Noah's favorite part was the alpaca's that they had on the property of the bed and breakfast we stayed at. He could have stayed there all afternoon and watched them!

Note my sweatshirt - we had to go out and buy this because I was not at all prepared for summer in Ohio! I used to live in the North and figured that July was hot everywhere - but I guess not always! Lesson learned!

5 year Anniversary

On July 18, Dan and I celebrated our 5th year anniversary! It's hard to believe it's been that long! God has richly blessed us over these past five years. We are so grateful for all who made that day so very special to us!
We were actually traveling for our anniversary, so we decided we would celebrate later in the week. We did make a family pit stop in Parkersburg, West Virginia at a little park to give Noah a break from the car seat and stretch our legs a little bit.

GRANDMA WARNING: We know this may worry you, but no babies were harmed in the photographing of this game!

4 Months Old

I am way behind on blogging! But here is Noah's 4 Month picture:

Noah is rolling over from back to belly, although now he seems to have forgotten how to go from belly to back. He's done it a few times, but we spend a large part of our day rolling him back over! He's still very curious and loves to people watch. He is becoming more interactive and laughing a lot more which is really fun! He still loves to play with his rings and Sophie the giraffe.

We're in trouble now!

Noah has started rolling from his back to his tummy!

Lineberger Park

This morning my dad, Suzi and I took Noah and the girls to Lineberger Park to go to the splash pad. Unfortunately the splash pad didn't open until an hour after we got there, so we had some time to kill on the playground first.

  Katie climbing the pole
Finally the splash pad opened! Noah loved splashing his toes in the water.
