Noah is half a year old today!! He is sitting up on his own for the most part, loves to eat, is just getting his first tooth, is going through a little bit of a separation anxiety phase, loves his bath time and loves to be held! He is so sweet and such a happy baby! He's up on all fours rocking, but not crawling quite yet - won't be long though! He is squirming around a little bit. This job of taking monthly pictures is getting harder and harder each month!

Labor Day Weekend in Atlanta
Last weekend we headed to Atlanta to visit Dan's family for Labor Day Weekend. This just also happened to be the first week of college football! Here is Noah with Uncle Kyle watching Game Day!
But of course, Noah had to get out of his pajamas and ready for the big game of the day. Here he is in his Michigan gear!
We all dressed for the occasion as Michigan took on App. Dan couldn't be happier to watch football with his son. I've just warned him that if he screams at the TV and scares the baby, he is in charge of making him feel better!
We had a terrific time at Kyle & Charlene's house! They made some amazing food and we had a great time hanging out (and sneaking in some free babysitting!)
We even made a pit-stop on the way home to see my cousin John who just moved to Atlanta! He had never met Noah, so it was fun to introduce them! We are thrilled that John is in Atlanta now and we will get to see him more often!
It was a little risky traveling during the day with Noah - but he was really good! I only had to whip out the iPad once or twice to keep him happy!
Duck Tub
Noah loves everything about bath time, from splashing around in the water to wiggling dry in his towel!
But recently he has really started to outgrow the bath seat that we've had for him since he was a newborn (when did my baby get so big?!?!). He was pushing up on the sides, and we just thought he would enjoy a little more wiggle room, especially now since he's doing so much better sitting up.
So we decided we would make the move to the duck tub - of course we had to try it out first!
Needless to say - He loves it! He is able to reach his toys better and I think he likes sitting up better too. He has even cried a few nights when we get him out!
Solids!
At around 5 months old, we started solids with Noah (once again I'm a little behind on my blogging - sorry!) He absolutely LOVES rice cereal. From the very beginning he was gobbling it all up and fussing when it was gone. Here he is trying it for the first time and his reaction - you can tell he likes it!
Since then we've also introduced sweet potatoes...those on the other hand he wasn't so sure about...
Each day he seems to be getting a little bit better with it...next stop carrots and squash....we will see how those go!
Truck Bed Mini Photo Session
So I've been holding this one back now for quite a few weeks as it was a surprise for my in-laws birthdays. But in the beginning of August, we had the opportunity to get our pictures done with Catie of Lovelace Productions. Catie was doing mini sessions that were about 15-20 minutes long. This was perfect for Noah and his attention span! These are for sure some of my all time favorite pictures of Noah and I know we will treasure these for years to come!
We also just had to include this hat that my old teaching partner, Beth, got for Noah before he was even born. It finally fits and was absolutely perfect for this photo shoot!
Thanks again Catie for working your magic behind the camera to give us some unforgettable shots!

5 months old
Our sweet little Noah is 5 months old today!! He is such a happy boy! He is starting to scoot around a little bit, he drools all the time, and is still very curious about the world around him! He has lost a lot of hair and currently has a big stripe of hair down the middle, but his hair is starting to grow back (quite a bit lighter than when he was born!) Today he also got to try cereal for the first time.
He liked it, but it was a little soupy, so it was a little hard for him to eat. Looking forward to more food adventures and trying more things in the coming weeks!
I have been really bad about blogging lately, I've had to keep a close eye on this little boy who is starting to sit up by himself!
He is also starting to push up a lot more. Once he figures out how to push up and get those legs going at the same time, we are in trouble!!
